And To Think....

...I thought I was going to get away with only one post today. Latest from MyDD:
Minnesota. Mike Hatch, Steve Kelley MyDD Update: (, Beck Lourey, Kelly Doran)
In something of a surprise to me, Democrats appear to have a good chance to defeat Republican Tom Pawlenty in Minnesota. Rasmussen and Zogby both show Pawlenty a little behind his challengers, which is very bad news for an incumbent. I remain worried about what I notice to be a disturbing entry of Thune-esque blogging in Minnesota (MN is also the national capital of right-wing blogging), but I am also heartened to see a fairly substantial, highly targeted Democratic online response. Considering the new tactics and many close races, Minnesota is possibly the most interesting state to watch this year.
Excellent .... excellent ... (taps fingers ominously) ...... There's also some pretty good info in that post about other states' gubernatorial races, definitely worth a read.

[UPDATE]: Per Mike S's comment, I've updated the MyDD blurb with Bowers' update including Lourey and Doran. Shame that MyDD couldn't somehow detect who'd copied and pasted text from their entry and let us know....yeah right.

But shut your eyes and imagine what will happen when Hutchinson is thrown into the mix.

(Shutting eyes)....

(fog reveals)....

The DFL candidate will remind people at every stop what happened the last time an Independence candidate got serious attention - we got Jesse Ventura and four years of deadlock and silly ideas at the Capitol. Next candidate, depending on how you looked at it, gave the election to Pawlenty.

That's what a smart DFL candidate will do, and Hutchinson will be a non-factor, Mike Grimes's ridiculous claims about Minnesotans' attitudes toward education funding aside.

Now why would you cut and paste most of the text of the blurb from MyDD, but leave off the other two DFL candidates' names that do appear in their story. Didn't bloggers get mad at Mark Kennedy when he selectivly edited news stories.

You can believe me or not, but in all honesty, when I copied the blurb from the story, the only candidates Bowers listed were Hatch and Kelley, most likely because those were the names on the latest Rasmussen polls. I just checked, and it was updated sometime between 5 PM yesterday and now with Doran's and Lourey's names. Most likely due to comments somewhat paralleling yours....thanks!

Yep it was Tim Pennys fault Roger Moe lost, the DFL never skrews up if they lose it's always someone elses fault.

Verbal diarrhea making the DFL out to be this monolithic, idiotic organization that turns its members into drones, incapable of independent thought or personal virtue and leadership....it's not appreciated.

So please stop leaving your poor-me drivel about the DFL's past election success (or lack thereof) here. It doesn't help anyone. I think you know who it is I support. And we all still know who and what you are. That's the end of it. Good bye.
